Where do I even begin?
Paris has been a remarkable place to me, but I wanted to start out by showing a picture of Versailles (or, one of the many beautiful gardens at Versailles).
This enormous estate reminds us not only the tremendously-lavish lifestyle of the King Louie’s and all French royalty, but of the hardships that came upon France during the revolution as well (and of course, the enviable lifestyle of Marie Antoinette).
Speaking of Marie Antoinette, do you remember watching the modernized version with Kirsten Dunst? Not the best movie, but it was a visual treat; before calling for her head, she was able to enjoy mountains of delicious French pastries. The most notable: Lauduree macarons. Try them if you haven’t, they are absolutely delicious.
